Recognition in China (JSJ / CSCSE)
Xiamen University Malaysia is a special case. Chinese students admitted through China's national entrance examination (gaokao), under an arrangement approved by China's Ministry of Education, study at the Malaysian campus but receive their graduation certificate and degree from Xiamen University in China, according to Xiamen University's own admissions brochure — that route does not depend on foreign-credential authentication. XMUM states that its programmes are approved by both the Malaysian and Chinese governments. CredRadar has not verified how recognition works for students who enter XMUM through other routes (for example international or postgraduate admission), and neither XMUM nor CSCSE publishes a clear statement covering those routes that we could find. If you are a Chinese national considering a non-gaokao route into XMUM and intend to use the qualification in China, confirm the position with CSCSE and XMUM in writing before enrolling.
