Privacy Policy

How CredRadar handles the small amount of personal data involved in running this directory.

What we collect

Form submissions. When you send an enquiry or a listing claim through a form on this site, we receive the details you enter — typically your name, email address, a phone number if you provide one, and your message. Submissions are stored in our own database (hosted by Cloudflare) so we can act on them and keep a record, and a copy is emailed to us when you send the form.

Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical information — pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, and the referring site — to deliver the site, keep it secure and understand aggregate usage.

We do not run user accounts, and we do not ask for children's personal data.

How we use it

We use form submissions only to act on what you sent us: forwarding your enquiry to the school you asked about, processing listing claims and corrections, and replying to you. Technical data is used to operate and improve the directory, in aggregate. We also count clicks on outbound links to school websites in aggregate — for example, how many visits a listing generated — never your personal details.

What we never do

We never sell personal data. We do not share your details with third parties except as needed to act on your own submission (for example, passing your enquiry to the school you selected) or where required by law.

Cookies

Essential cookies set by our infrastructure keep the site secure and working. We use Google Analytics to understand how the directory is used in aggregate; it sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits and measure traffic, and reports back to us only in aggregate — we never receive data from it that identifies you personally. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The directory's interactive tools — filters, compare and the cost calculator — run in your browser.

On-device storage. Two tools remember things for you in your browser's local storage: the school finder saves your answers (cr_prefs) so school cards can show how they match them, and the shortlist saves the schools you bookmark (cr_shortlist). This data is stored only on your device — it is never sent to us or to any third party — and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Advertising cookies

When advertising is displayed on this site, it is served by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. This section applies when ads are shown; which ads appear is determined by Google, not by CredRadar.

Third parties

Google provides the campus photos shown on school pages (from Google Places) and, where Google still publishes them, the ratings; Google Analytics provides our aggregate usage analytics. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, stores form submissions for us, and provides the Turnstile check on our forms, which processes technical signals to keep bots and spam out.

School websites you visit via our outbound links have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

Your rights under Thailand's PDPA

Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to its use. Write to [email protected] and we will act on verified requests.

Data retention

Form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle them and to maintain reasonable records of corrections and partnerships. Technical logs are retained by our providers for limited periods and are reviewed in aggregate.
